Can anyone tell me where RAF personnel were stationed near to Stourbridge (Worcestershire at the time) - they clearly spent some social time in Stourbridge, but neither RAF Bridgnorth nor RAF Halfpenny Green (Bobbington) are 'close by'

Have you considered 25 Maintenance Unit, Hartlebury? Kidderminster would be a more logical choice for entertainment but Stourbridge isn't an impossibility.
(Plenty online about that unit, including a Rootschat thread).
