I checked my family tree and Julia was born 1835 in Beberstedt, Prussia and died in 1925 in Wisconsin.
She had a daughter in 1873 that died in 1942.
Maybe they are mother and daughte? Do those years line up?

Thanks everyone for helping us figure out who the photos are. I wish all old photos had names included on the back!

Julia looks about 70-75 to me so that date fits with the date of the 1st.photo.
The 2nd. lady looks in her 40's & also fits with the date of the 2nd. photo.
