Charles and Charlotte Hooper

Hi. I'm looking for some help tracing back from my 4xgreat-grandparents, Charles Hooper and his wife Charlotte. I believe Charlotte's name was Lawton before she was married. I can find them in the 1841 census living at Cricketts Lane, Ashton-under-lyne, Lancashie with their four children Mary, Thomas, Martha and John and two others (Joseph Platt and Elizabeth Platt). there is a later record on the 1851 census of Charlotte Hooper and her son John as paupers in the Union workhouse. I'm struggling to find anything else for Charles or Charlotte so if anyone can help or point me in the right direction I'd be appreciative. Many thanks. Dawn  :)

Ages in 1841 were what?
Any candidate marriage for for this couple?

For some idea of their ages 1841 has
Charles Hooper   45
Charlot Hooper   45 
Mary Hooper   18 
Thomas Hooper   15
Martha Hooper   5
John Hooper   2

Charles & Charlotte were not bn in county

The Platts are a separate household

The 1841 has quite an age gap in kids.

There is a marriage for Charles Hooper and Charlotte Lawton in Glossop, Derbyshire, 16th May 1824
