you have really brought my photo to life! I think there is a strong resemblance between the photos which made me revise my earlier thoughts as to who it could be, I am trying to bear in mind that people tended to look older than their years in that era.
Although the cottage doesn't fit in with where I know Mary was living at the time, of course I have no idea where the photo was taken or why so it could have been visiting someone out of Newcastle or at some other occasion
