Hi,
According to the UK 1881 census JRDF & Hannah (nee TALL) had 4 children: Ellen I D (b abt 1868, no registration found); William R M (b abt 1865, no registration found); Hannah (b 1876) & John Rouse Upton (b 05 Jun 1882).

The family arrived in Victoria, Australia aboard the 'Orient' in 1886.

JRDF, a carpenter in 1881, died in Victoria in 1936, whilst Hannah (nee TALL) had predeceased him in 1914, also in Victoria.

I'm looking, without success, for what happened to the children and any other details regarding JRDF & Hannah.

John and Hannah had two children in England.

According to the 1871 John 20 years was living at 8 New Street, Plymouth with his parents James and Mary Ann and younger siblings James 18, Emma 13, Mary Ann 3, Esther 3 and William 10 months.  On the subscription based website I accessed, their surname as has been mistranscribed as TOOT.   Also mistranscribed on familysearch.org

According to the Unassisted Immigration Index at Public Record Office of Victoria only Hannah FOOT 35 years, Hannah 9 years and John 3 years arrived on the ORIENT in 1886.
