Help Deciphering Cert.

I would be grateful if someone could decipher the handwriting on a birth certificate for me. The certificate is for John Megaw (actually McGaw) born in Castleblayney in 1878. I am having difficulty with the place names and informant was hoping someone with local knowledge could make an educated guess. Sorry not very technical so can not cut and paste, the cert is on the GRO site.

Horrid handwriting.
Think the district (top of the page) is Newtownhamilton.

Possible one of the several Tullyvallan but someone fimilar with the area will hopefully know better.

I could be way off but there is Mcgaws living in the area in 1901 maybe some of the names will strike a cord with you.

I'm just thinking there could be a us at the end and this place is in Co. Monaghan.

Looking at word "Male"  it also ends in a flourish.
