I understand from his family that there was no previous marriage. The "lady" in question was not married to him and was much older. His army records were revised to show his next of kin as his aunt Mrs Mary Keogh.
He was released from the army for war work in Glasgow where he was a "smelter". He enlisted in Leith,Edinburgh.
On the army record I looked at I would read it that his next of kin when he enlisted was Mrs Mary Keogh, Brighton Gardens, Terenure, Co. Dublin based on the dark colour of the ink througout the page and that this was replaced with lighter ink by Mrs Isabel Lloyd, 29 Admiralty St, Leith in 1915. The army record clearly states that he married Isabel Charlton (widow) of 47 Bridge Street, Leith "Scottish court of justice declare the marraige to be" Jan 07 1915; verified by "M.Cert & Corrs retd to RP 20/4/1916"
On Scotlandspeople there is a marriage between Patrick Lloyd and Isabel Charlton and Patrick Lloyd and Isabel Stuart with the same reference in 1915 but I have not seen the original record.
