looking for crew list

Hello,
my name is Corinne and I'm looking for one of my ancestor (like everyone here I suppose  ).
I know he was steward on a vessel : barque Longfellow, during a journey from Bordeaux (France) to cardiff on november, 1887. Does someone knows how to obtain the crew agreement of this vessel during this journey ?
As you can read, I'm French and this is my first research out of France.
I'm really sorry if I "knock at the wrong door" as we say in France.

The National Archives,Kew (London) holds crewlist & agreements for a ship Longfellow (of St.John,NB) Official Number 66990 a barque of 812 tons for -
1886 BT99/1492 and
1887 BT99/1527.
This could be your ship and you might find some local who visits TNA who may be good enough to look it up for you. Failing that you may have to contact TNA yourself.

Hello Heather,
thank you for your welcome.
My relative's name is Charles Wilfrid Paris. He was steward on the barque Longfellow of St John, New Brunswick ; the vessel found by JCmac is the right one. During the journey from Bordeaux to Cardiff in november 1887 he was charged (and discharged) with a manslaughter on board (seen on South Wales Echo, december, 1887, 22nd and ).
these are the only facts I know about him. Nothing about his birth, death. Just one more thing : he has disappeared from France during the year 1889. His family never had news from him.
I hope I will find some facts about him in the crew list of the Longfellow.

There is a marriage for Charles Wilfred Paris (age 25) to Elizabeth Ann Coggan on Familysearch in Cardiff, 10 Dec 1892. His father was Peter Paris.

A possible if he settled in Cardiff and wasn't born in France.
There is a Charles Paris age 25 crew member of the Dodo sailing Cardiff to Cork to Cardiff in 1890 born Muntituis (looking at the image think this should read Mauritius) although looking at where his signature should be it doesn't appear he was on board

I thank you all for your answers. Concerning Charles Wilfred Paris, we can suppose that he was French. I was married with Clarisse Beysseresse (place and date unknown). They had two children :
- my great grand father : Charles Wilfred Paris (as his father) born June, 25th 1884 in Valparaiso (chile) while Clarisse and Charles where working on a boat (according to the family records) ;
- a girl born in 1889 in Bordeaux where the family lived when the father disappeared.
The name of Beysseresse is typically french, that's why we supposed they were both French.

It's impossible to check the crew agreements of Bordeaux, they have totally burned in 1919.

I hope that the Longfellow's path of research will be successfull.

On the 14th August 1918, the ship Empress of Britain arrived in New York from Liverpool.

One of the passengers was Charles Wilfred Paris. The print out isn't very clear so I will have another look at it next time I am in the library. It is available on Ancestry worldwide which I son't have.
