Constable James Alexander Nixon (member of the RUC)
Died 13 December 1972, aged 49
Fatally shot by terrorist gunmen while off duty leaving a hotel on the Antrim Road, Belfast.

James was an uncle of mine who I met just the once before he died. He gave me a rubber bullet as a present which I still have.

Would love to contact any members of his family but have hit a dead end.

Can anyone help?

I think I am related to you, my mother was a Nixon from Castlewarren, Donemana, Co. Tyrone. My GEDmatch is A847752.  I have extensive research on the Castlewarren Nixons which I am happy to share.
