As far as I am aware Ellen had no relatives up in the northeast of England. Her family were all in East London. I have a photo taken in Blyth of Cyril in 1905 or 1906, so that suggests William and Cyril stayed up in that area. Maybe a sister of William moved up to look after them. William went to America in 1906 and married again before coming back to collect Cyril in 1910 and take him to America. It's a bit of a mystery really,  and because I live in Suffolk, I can't get up to the area to find out.

Hi I have finally been able to find the burial place for my great aunt Ellen Julia Eve. A kind soul from NDFHS was able to look in the St. Paul's records and have given me the location of the grave.
Thanks everybody for all your suggestions and time.
Susan
