Maria died in 1876. Not sure about William - he looks to have have gone off and later remarried (1885), leaving his daughter and step daughter by his first wife with his parents

The Latham links look most convincing.

Geographically speaking, Longton, Edensor and Normacot are all cloistered pretty close together at the Longton end of the Potteries.  Caverswall is only 3 or 4 miles east.
