« on: Sunday 09 April 17 22:41 BST (UK) »
I was wondering if someone could translate the birth for Konrad Boehler to English for me.  Thanks in advance.

Riedöschingen, den funfundzwanzigsten Oktober
eintausendachthundertundneunundvierzig (1849). Konrad
Böhler, ehlicher Sohn des Bürgers und Landwirths
Sebastian Böhler und der Theresia Schey(?) von
Riedöschingen,  wurde geboren zu Riedöschingen,
im Jahr eintausendachthundertneun-
undvierzig dem vier and zwanzigsten Oktober
abends halbsieben Uhr und am folgenden Tage
den funfundzwanzigsten Oktober Abends funf Uhr
durch den Unterfertigen in der Pfarrkirche
daselbst getauft.

Konrad Böhler, legitimate son of the citizen and farmer Sebastian Böhler and Theresia Schey of Riedöschingen, was born in Riedöschingen in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine on the 24th October at 6:30 in the evening and was baptised the following day, the 25th October, at 5 o'clock in the evening by the undersigned in the parish church.

Witnesses were  the godparents:
The citizen and farmer Anton Mattler and the farmer  Kreszentia  Elsäßer as well as the verger/sacristan Johann Kelter, all from Riedöschingen.

I don't really know much about the various lay people who assisted with church services. German dictionaries define the Meßner as the person responsible for preparing everything for the service/mass and ensuring that the church was decorated, clean and orderly.
