Yes I have looked on Digital NZ and yet to find an image there. Re the file at Archives NZ:-
https://www.archway.archives.govt.nz/ViewFullItem.do?code=21990289I visited Archives NZ in Dunedin last week and copied that file and a few others as well. A couple of very useful plans etc in there of the Awarua station when built in 1913, but again no images.
The railway station is actually known as the Awarua Junction Station and can be found by searching on Google for "Bluff Branch". The first hit is on Wikipedia that also provides a map of the Invercargill - Bluff Railway and all the stations in between.
Have also tried the Hocken Library Photographs and the local city library. Here there was a photograph published in the Southland Daily News on 15.04.1965 when the station went up in flames at 3.15am in the morning.
