David Loveridge or Laveridge

I am searching for the birth of David Loveridge my great grandfather he was born in Ledbury Herefordshire 1859 just can not find who his parents are ,he married Ellen Preedy of Newent Gloucestershire they seemed to move around a bit as some of their children are from newent,Monmouth, &Chesterfield & both husband and wife were born according to the census's in1859

What census returns do you have?

Thanks for your reply I have D Loveridge on :1881  1891  1901census with the exception of the 1881 it is spelt Laveridge not Loveridge but I am sure it is the same person ,and that from marrying my G Grandmother they moved in between Herefordshire ,Gloucestershire, Monmouth and Chesterfield I hope this explains it ok ,I have tried BMD and 1837 online but do not seem to be getting anywhere at all .

ive found your ellen in 1861 if thats of any use ??
Ellen Preedy abt 1860  Newent, Gloucestershire, England Daughter  Newent  Gloucestershire   
Hannah Preedy abt 1836  Newent, Gloucestershire, England Wife  Newent  Gloucestershire   
William Preedy abt 1835  Newent, Gloucestershire, England Head  Newent  Gloucestershire

sorry can find no trace of david on either the 1861 or 1871 cencus :(

found this on the 1861 cencus if you look at the son david .............same christianname,same age and same place of birth.then look at mothers and fathers age.possibly mother remarried??? and david was from earlier marriage? might be worth seeing if you can find a marriage for this couple.i know its a long shot but you never know :)

Thanks for the info I will definately look into the David Loveridge ,and Ellen Preedy as you say they sound a possibility of being the right ones , will keep you posted with the results .
