Hi Shaun, Got it in one! Fanny Lascelles was my Great Great Grandmother. She married Barnett Ford in Cochin in 1845. Census records says she was born in Canterbury . Her marriage records gives Edmund Wilson Lascelles as her father - no mention of her Mother. Georgiana Sarah Lascelles died in Cochin in March 1845. I recently made contact with a distant relative who has a great deal of info on this family which includes pictures. Info on the reverse of some states that Fanny's Mother was Sarah Georgiana Guildford and that Fanny was one of twins, the other child being Julia who died in 1830. There was also a son born but didn't survive. There is a birth record for twins Ann and Julia for Oct 1829 to a Georgiana and Richard Wagstaff. Edmund's marriage cert gives Georgiana Wagstaff's father a Richard! You can see where I'm coming from! The Marriage in Dowlais in 1839 coincides with the regiment being in Newport Chartists Uprising. Any help will be much appreciated.
