As you can see he also went by Wilson.
Not necessarily. As he was clearly illegitimate, his birth would have been registered under both of his mother's surnames.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

There is a death notice in the  Evening Times (Glasgow)  and also an Acknowledgement following the funeral, but neither contain any additional info re family or place of burial.

The father of Ellen Hannah will not appear on the BC.

If the father's name was on the BC this would mean he had attended at the registration of the birth i.e. his surname would have been used as an alternative along with both of the mother's surnames which is not the case as there are only 2 entries for Ellen Hannah with the RD No. & entry no.

Isobel

Thank you very much! I found them both and uploaded to my tree on ancestry. Every little bit is important. Thank you, Barbara
