Im doing a bit of research for someone that came onto my Cemetery Facebook Page. She is researching her grandmother who was accidentally shot in a pawnbrokers in Coatbridge.
There is an article in the Glasgow Herald dated 6th March 1939 states that was in the shop and the proprietor and another person were examining a revolver. The gun went off severely injuring Mrs McCluskey. Complications in her care led to her death on the 18h of April that year.
Ive searched all of my records for St Josephs and cannot find her being buried there. Her first husband, who died young is buried there. Her home address at the time of death was Jackson Street, Coatbridge.
Other that the Herald, is there anywhere else that might have reported the incident and what other Catholic Cemeteries are in the area in 1939? Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Chris
