This is getting wierd :o

My husband loves war games, is fascinated by WW2, but is (as I think I might have mentioned ;D) totally unimpressed by family history :P

Do you think there ia a gene that brings female family history fans and nonpersonal history loving men together ???

Could be a scientific study here ::)

Anyway, I am on a bit of a roll at the mo, so I don't care what he says.

Mustn't complain though...we were out in the car today and he was driving  ::) and as we were going through a town of particular interest I asked if he would stop by the war memorial, as I am led to believe I have a relative named on it...he did drive by...admittedly at the speed of light so it was more a case of seeing the memorial...just...rather thn any actual names...but hey that is progress :D

And, no don't laugh...Crump...I think it's great!

And of course, if I ever do manage to do a successful look up it is crown copyright and all that legal stuff!

Hi Sue,
It was absolutely amazing to meet you and have a real time (((hug)))!!
What a heavenly day we had. I looked forward to this the whole time I was away.

If I had only known about Lloydy's rellies I would have most definitely have been happily roaming around Shocklach grave yard in the dark...After having three good sized glasses of Shiraz with my meal at "The Bull", I would have no doubt made some fascinating discoveries. I wouldn't have needed a torch either. :o ;D

My heart is still in the green and leafy lanes of Cheshire, and always will be.
Thanks for all your kindness my friend.
Lots of love,
Susan xxx

Well done Jan, after trying to find them on the non existant 1841...which was disappointing for you.

You'll never guess what?

Last Monday I met (for the very first time) Susan from USA, in Tarporley, Cheshire, where we went grave hunting for her family, and while walking round arm in arm, she said, we had a lovely meal in a Pub in SHOCKLACH on Friday night !!!

I said Oooh! that's where Lloydy's rellies come from... I nearly said if I'd known I'd have asked you to take a look round the grave yard (by torch light)  for the Challinors.  She would have done it too.

I'm dead chuffed for you chuck !!!

lots of love
Su  :D
