Strange.

EVERARD, CHRISTIAN       mmn RICHARDS
1855  S Quarter in SAINT MARY MAGDALEN BERMONDSEY SURREY  Volume 01D  Page 86

VALLIANT, PAULINA  AMELIA  mmn    RICHARDS
 1859  S Quarter in NEWINGTON  Volume 01D  Page 220

EVERARD, SARAH  ANN  mmn    RICHARDS
1864  J Quarter in ST GEORGE SOUTHWARK  Volume 01D  Page 117

When Louisa EVERARD marries Walter GLEN in 1877 Pauline Val*nt is one of the witnesses.

I can't find a birth for Louisa as Everard either. ::)

Thankyou all for your reply.....in a way I am pleased you think it is strange........I haven't found another George Valliant either....I have my GGM death certificate and her marriage certificates that state George is her father.
Her name on the 1881 census was transcribed wrongly as Porline, and she did have a sister called Florrie....so I know these are correct

The name Pointer/Poynter seems to have changed over the years but are the same family....I have made sure by having certificates as well.
It seems her mother Christiana Richards either lived or married with William Everard on a few of the census they are named as Everard......but when the daughters marry they refer back to the name s they were born ? with
I do feel confused andhitting my head against the proverbial brick wall

Thanks for all help and suggestions I will go down any avenue to get somewhere close to the facts

No, no, no!
She had a DAUGHTER called Flora! ;D

And don't get hung up over spellings?
On nearly all documents, it was someone else writing names - Enumerator, vicar, Registrar and so forth.
Finally, in England & Wales at lease, it is legal to call yourself anything you like - just as long as there is no intention to deceive or defraud.
