This is the birth record for my Great, Great Grandmother Elizabeth Mcqueen. I am wondering what the word on the fourth line down, just under her name says?
I wonder of it sheds any light on her father, as he is not mentioned.

Yes, I agree - illegitimate, especially as there is no father given and she has her mother's surname.
