What was the maiden surname of Susan's mother?

Not sure if this works on the 'new' site but worth trying with her own maiden surname & mother's maiden surname?

A search using mother's maiden surname only works if the mother's maiden surname is in the original index, i.e. the majority of deaths after 1974, and a few in earlier years.

If/as/when SP gets round to adding mothers' maiden surnames to the original indexes, this will become more useful. But don't hold your breath. That would be a massive undertaking and require resources that they may not have available.

Cathy52, it would be a very good idea if you were to give us all the information on Susan's birth and marriage certificates. You seem to have been drip-feeding occasional nuggets, but as far as I can see you haven't told us everything you know, so trying to help is a bit like trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing. I can't believe this thread has grown to 4 pages without the names of Susan's parents.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

If they were divorced, the original marriage entry will be stamped that they were divorced.
