Darvill Family in Chesham 1772

I'm researching the family of Samuel and Anne Darvill in Chesham.  I've hit a contradiction.  The Bucks FHS database lists Samuel Darvill, born 29th February 1772, baptised 5th April 1772.  Familysearch.org's microfilm records this as William, with the same dates.  Presumably someone has made a transcription error.  If anyone happens to be at the Bucks Record Office with time to spare, I'd appreciate them taking a look at the Chesham St Mary's baptismal register for 1772 to resolve this contradiction.  (Incidentally, a Samuel was buried in February 1773, and another son was baptised Samuel in 1774).

The 1774 Samuel was a twin with a boy named James (same parents/same birth and baptism dates).  There's nothing to suggest the same for the 1772 Samuel and/or William.  I think our next step has to be to wait until some helpful member of RootsChat can access a copy of the original at the Record Office (or using the microfilm copy at Milton Keynes library I believe).  If both 1772 entries are there then we can consider such a possibility; until then I think a mistranscribing by someone looks the more likely explanation.  It's just a case of which entry, if either, is mistaken.

Dear Allibaker

I think what puts me off the idea of Samuel and William being two separate people (and twins) is that there is nothing in the records about an adult William, as far as I can tell.  At least with 1772 Samuel, he could have died in 1773 with the next boy born picking up the name in 1774.
