Looking for relations of a William Perrin believed to have lived in Napier in the early 1800's. Apparently had a first family then married again to Ellen Georgina Brunette from Hawera while still married to his first wife. They had three children Maud "Queenie", John "Jack" and William who died at the age of 17 years, This family moved to Rotorua where later Ellen managed a Boarding House in Fenton Street for a number of years and raised her young family there.

Hi and welcome.   :)

*  When you say "looking for relations of William PERRIN" ... can I ask please , just who it is you are looking for  ?

*   Is it descendants of the three children you've named ??

As  William was born c 1852 according to the wedding report and a William Perrin chef is in Palmerston North at 38 Lombard street in 1928 I am wondering if this is the son of William and Ellen?

The son of William PERRIN and Ellen Georgina PERRIN (nee BRUNETTE) died in 1912.

NZ Death Index :

1912 - PERRIN - William Brunette - aged 15* years

[* The poster mentioned in introduction here, that son William had died aged 17. ]

Hello...

Welcome to Rootschat :)

Quote from: Ann Handyside
William Perrin believed to have lived in Napier in the early 1800's.

Can I be pedantic :) and say that Napier (est.1855) didn't actually exist in the early 1800's

And if William first got married in 1882 it's more than likely that he didn't either.

---

The 1928 death of a William PERRIN in Dannevirke seems a possible contender for your man. Buried at Mangatera Cemetery. Accidental overdose, according to PapersPast. Charitable aid funeral according to the cemetery website.

Regards
Beg
