The 1884 birth of a Margaret in Larne, shows father Robert as a Blacksmith.

The 1915 marriage of a Margaret in Belfast, shows father Robert as a Blacksmith.

OK, in the 1911 Census for the Margaret Wilson (nee Downey) with children including Cecil, it states she was born Ballymena, whereas clairef says Larne.

There was a Margaret Downey born in Ballymena District, in 1884.Townland looks to be Clonkeen, Drummaul Parish. Her father was a Thomas.

If she was this Margaret rather than the Larne one, I'm not seeing a c1904 marriage to a John Wilson.

Stanley John Wilson of the 1911 census looks to have been the 3rd October 1906 birth at 16 Victoria Avenue of a John Stanley Wilson. Father is John Wilson, a clerk, and mother Margaret is recorded as formerly Downing.

Holy moley you guys have been busy. :-)  I really appreciate the efforts that you are going to here :-)

from what i know from my grandmother, Margaret Downey had the children that have been mentioned in the last posts, but whats so strange is the wedding.  Im wondering if they would have waited until 1915 to marry.  Would that have been strange for that era?  Margaret Downey was originally a catholic and her husband a protestant.
