Emily Barfield born abt 1828 North Carolina

Hi Folks!

I wonder if someone can help. I am trying to find out who the parents of my 2x great grandmother were. Her name was Emily Barfield, born around 1828 in North Carolina. She married Levi H Hayes around 1849 and died about 1885.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Looking for Emily, not found parents yet but she was alive on the 1900 census, still living in the familh home (White House, Robeson, NC) with son Asbury, and grandaughter Addy.  Asbury was still at the family home in 1910 but Emily was not with him, so assume died between 1900 & 1910.

The Mary E Hayes (1852) is Mary Eliza, who married Moses Gardner and on her death her parents were shown as Levi Hayes and Emily Barfield.

Mittie Margans death also shows parents Levi Hayes and Emily Barfield.

On the 1900 census Mittie Morgan (Margan) and husband and family are on the same page as Emily Hayes (nee Barfield) and her son and grandaughter.  Also on the same page is a Emma Ford.  An Emma Ford married a Gordan Barfield and they are shown on the 1910 census living  in South Carolina:

Persie Barfield (Amanda Persie) was the widow of William Barfield born middle 1840s in South Carolina.  The online information does not show Emily as a sister of William.  However perhaps Gordan was family?

Have been following you around the same info and looking at Robeson wills and all sorts. Cannot find anymore about the newspaper article, thought it might tie in a death for Emily and seached combinations in the Robeson paper but couldn't spot anything to help.

Civil Barfield married James Grimsley 22 Feb 1855, found it in United States Marriages Transcription

I had found the Grimsley connection but cannot find Civil after 1880.  No death or marriage. 
Daughter Olia married someone called Brown but was a widow in 1910 living with brother Stafford.

Can't find a death for James Grimsley, though that would not help find parents for Civil.
