Hi, I am researching the Crowe family from Norwich who came from Ranworth, their occupation in 1851 was 'watermen', but Crowe was a very popular surname in Norfolk, around that time.

Hi Eileen,
I have forwarded your email onto John Crowe who I am trying to help.He felt certain his ancestors came from Ireland at the time of the famine.

If he does have any Irish blood it must come down from the female side somewhere

Johns father was a Walter John Crowe and his mother Lydra Crowe formerly Mildred.
My email address is (*)
I am the President of the Fleurieu Peninsula Family History Group here in South Australia and also the Irish Ancestors Group, hence my envolment.
Oh by the way we live about 12 miles south of Adelaide.

Best wishes Tim

Hi Eileen.  I am helping a friend with his family tree and he has ancestors of the Norfolk Crowe family.  Do you have a William Crowe marrying a Jane Knoppit around 1760/79 on your tree?
Also looking for 3 members who moved to London late 19th cent. John CROWE,Kingston upon Thames, Ernest CROWE, Kensington, and Ellen CROWE they were all born at Little Cressingham Norfolk.
Hope you can help in some way.
Regards Denise
