LINGSTROM, Wilhelm Frederick
« on: Monday 23 January 17 03:54 GMT (UK) »

I am searching for a Wilhelm Frederick Lingstrom (or Frederick Wilhelm Lingstrom) (born circa 1870) Stockholm, who married Emily Couch on 2/1/1892 Dubbo, NSW. Australia.  Wilhelm may have jumped ship in Australia as I cannot find any record of his entry into Australia.  His marriage certificate spells his name as LANGSTRUM (no father or mother's names for either of them; no ages; ) Children of Wilhelm & Emily - Carl b.1893 & Alfred R C Lingstrom b. 1897 Dubo. Could not find arrival for Wilhelm Frederick Lingstrom into Australia and the story goes that he then left Australia sometime around 1907. Or this could be a red herring and he stayed in Australia.   Could be Wilhelm Frederick or Frederick Wilhelm and Lingstrom or Langstrum. Thank you kindly

Did the Deceased Estate file contain any information about her husband?

Where in Dubbo were they married?  The parish records may have more information that NSW BDM.

Hi Cando,
Wilhelm & Emily were married at the Wesley Parsonage Dubbo.  Does anyone have access to these records?  Would be fabulous to see if there is more info to be had.  Thank you kindly.

Not unusual to find elusive blanks on NSW marriage certs for that era, particularly for rural NSW.

Here's a thread that should give you details about how to overcome those blanks.

Wesley Parsonage - so you need to contact NSW Uniting Church archives....  :)
