I don't have a lot yet, as I am only just starting to work my way through the siblings of William Craigie and what happened to them, but yes, they did go to Auckland.

In 1900 MILLER family are on Wakatipu Roll :

MILLER
- Mary Anderson - domestic duties (this is dau. b. 1877)
- James William - shepherd  (this is son b. 1878)
- George - station Manager
- Mary - domestic duties
     ... all at Wanaka Station.

[Dau. Gertrude not yet eligible for admission to voters roll - bc. 1880]

Could only see the following births (quick search) for Mary Jane and George James MILLER.

The 3 following were all registered at Wakatipu.

1877 - MILLER - Mary Anderson
1878 - MILLER - James William
1880 - MILLER - Gertrude Annie

[I don't have time to search for others. ]

Significant (perhaps) that child is named "Mary Anderson" after Mary Jane's mother no doubt ?
Son also with first name James (perhaps named for grandfather ?)

Mary Jane and George James MILLER appear on Auckland e/rolls from c. 1928 - Parnell roll - his occupation is given as farmer.

Both are buried (same plot) at Hillsborough Cemetery, Auckland :

The following appears on the cemetery records.

MILLER - Mary Jane - d. 6 April 1949 aged 93 years - Buried 8 April 1949
Hillsborough - Area 11 - Block B - Lot 748
Occupation:  Home duties
Residence:  4 Marewa Road, Greenlane
Presbyterian
Native Place:  Aberdeen
Last from Greenlane
In New Zealand for 76 years.*

[Notes:  *  Place of birth or Native place and approx. year of birth (1856), are a v. good match.
Years in NZ slightly astray ... (arrived early 1873 with sister Annie)  ... but remember Mary Jane herself is not the informant.]

The daughter > Gertrude Annie MILLER > remained a spinster - she died 14 July 1969 aged 88 years.
Cremation record at  Waikumete Cemetery, Auckland.
She lived with her parents - her last address was also 4 Marewa Road, Greenlane.

Regarding George being born in Australia, that actually makes it more possible that he is Louisa Miller's brother, Louisa being the one who married William Craigie, as her siblings were born in Australia.

Yes, I can see some children (including Louisa) born to Lewis MILLER and Jane DOUGHTY in Victoria.
Can't immediately see "George James" though.   ???
They have a child named as "James" but birth is registered 1861 (whereas G. J. is born c. 1853 ? )

Will take another look tomorrow.
