Lookup? LIVINGSTONE in the Southern Necropolis
« on: Saturday 14 January 17 14:07 GMT (UK) »
I have John Spencer Livingstone age 8, d. 18 December 1860, burial Southern Necropolis Also his sister Janet Livingstone age 5, d. 12 August 1861 but no burial listed on DC.
Parents are John Livingstone and Crawford Spencer (both died in Connecticut, US).

Is there any lookup possibility to find out more about young John's burial and any other family that might be there?  My brick wall is the parents of John Sr. (possibly John Livingstone & Mary Frazer) and I'm hoping I could find a connection to his parents there.

Thank you!
Wendy

Have you checked the 1851 marriage record to see if any parent is mentioned?

Colin - who runs this site http://www.southernnecropolis.co.uk  is very responsive to queries.

He has lair maps and details, and can usually say if he can locate specific burial details.  Failing that, you could inquire at http://www.glasgowfamilyhistory.org.uk/ExploreRecords/Pages/Burial-Lair-and-Cremation-Registers.aspx

Wendy, just adding this link from another forum www.talkingscot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=17134 as this has a little more background on John and wife Crawford.

Thanks Monica - that was my original post on Talking Scot! I've been looking for quite some time but was just refreshed this morning when I found the DC for young John with the notation about the Southern Necropolis. I thought maybe a little window had opened for me!

I appreciate the time you took to look!
