Thanks Ruth,

It is this very group (John Gibson/Sarah Roberton or Robertoun) that I am trying to prove for my tree.

I have Andrew 1790 and Archibald 1794 both born in that area Crailing/Roxburgh.  Each man was at the others wedding as a witness (Newcastle) and I have their lives well documented onwards from there.
With Andrew being born well before the wedding date of 1795, that you have found and Archiblad in 1794, it is an outside chance there is a match but I have to try.
It is their parents that are causing issues (Archibald is the subject of another post a while back that was never resolved), so I thought to try Andrew.
I am verily vexed on this one  :-[

Archy had a daughter called Sarah and a son John so I was attracted Sarah Roberton as part on a possible naming convention match.

Does anyone have the ability to see the actual image for me.
You can view the original yourself at modest cost at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
