Ladies bowling team?
« on: Sunday 08 January 17 18:14 GMT (UK) »
We found this photo in my late father's stuff, and we have no idea which family members are on it. It could have been taken in Sheffield, or in Oldham, Lancs. I'm thinking it was 1920's, given the clothes. There seems to be a man in uniform on the back row,  has anyone any idea what he would be doing there, and what he's wearing,
I'd love to find some info on this.

I think you are right about the date and it being a bowling team but can't help with uniform...maybe someone else can offer suggestions.

Not sure it is a uniform.
Could just be a middle aged lady wearing a fancy hat and attire with shiny buttons on the front.

Thanks for your help with the clearer photo, and I agree that my 'man' on the back row could be a lady, in fact! :D
