Well, the title says it all. I can't seem to find the info online. Birth registered in Galway in 1934. Will the GRO give me a research copy?

Marriages recorded from 1845.
The indexes to Births over 100 years old, the indexes to Marriages over 75 years old and the indexes to Deaths over 50 years old online only
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

I've got research death certs from the 1940s, as far as I know you can't use a research cert for any thing dodgy so they shouldn't have any reason not to give you a birth research cert, after all you could buy the certified one online or in any local registry office if you wanted.

Thanks all, I'll apply for the 4 euro research copy at the GRO. I was getting confused with the 100-year rule, which I suppose only applies to seeing it online. I've got the quarter and volume and page from Family Search.
