That looks very interesting.

A published online tree links Annie Caveney Shakeshaft to this  family

I have looked at other censuses and can't see a Bridget but Ellen Burke married a Martin Kavenay.

Here is the family gortonboy found in 1891. Ancestry transcribes them as Kavanagh which it does look like.

Annie Kavanagh (the Liverpool family) marries Edward Haughey in 1901. A published tree shows the marriage, 1911 and children. :-\

 ??? ::) ??? ::)
Oh my goodness this family is hardwork! Trying to work back on An--y from with the familysearch details is super tricky as they seem to be entered differently the 1901 has them as Carney, i'll let you know when i find them on 1891!
Trying to find a common mothers maiden name for the 5 children is hard to, especially as i still do not know what his surname actually is, ever record brings another variation! I'm guessing it would be safe to assume that Martin & Maria were married in the UK (probably Chester/Liverpool) around 1884.

All i can say with certainty is that Martin is her fathers name!
I have come across name variations all the time in my research but never so many for 1 name? Do you think he had a very broad accent & they were both possibly illiterate which was why the name is always different???

I'm lost now with the family you are looking for in 1891  ::)

I wonder too about the two women Bev posts about. There is a very large gap between Bridget's and Annie's marriages  although the published tree does have  Annie marrying in 1931  :-\ but no Bridget.

I'm lost now with the family you are looking for in 1891  ::) The family transcribed as Kavanaugh with Maud not Maria as the mum & Judy not Julia as the daughter. I have found it now though Maria was Minnia on A---Y!

Yes. I have just been going through the gro records to see if i can find a common denominator for the children & the mothers maiden name, but because the surname varies i can't pin one down!  ???
