Hopefully, someone can help. I was wondering if there was a way to search post World War 2 Military Records.
The photo shows the soldier in question, but he would only have been approximately 17-18 years old. He may not have been in regular military at the time. I'm not sure.
(The photo is the only one I have of him, and it is taken at my parent's wedding) I know he was in the service, because of the Electoral rolls showing him with an "S" beside his name. (1951, 1952, 1953) I haven't found him after that, and he would have been too young before that.
His name was David Elder jr, and was born approximately 1929. This photo was taken in November of 1947. This photo was taken in Possilpark, Glasgow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
