Pyne's of Taunton
« on: Tuesday 27 December 16 22:19 GMT (UK) »
Hello All,
I am helping a friend of mine with his family.
On the 1861 census I have
Robert Slape Pyne with wife Caroline Manley
Children, Robert S., Eleanor, Frederick, William, Margaret, Louisa, Walter, and George.
On the 1871 census there is a further son Charlie.

Searching FreeBMD I cannot find registrations for Margaret, Louisa, Walter, and George.

Robert Slape Pyne is described as a Baker residing at 49 High Street, Parish of St. Mary Magdalene, Taunton.

Does anyone have a connection with this family?

Ian.

I can't find them on FreeBMD either. Charles Octavius is there, in 1862.
All of them were baptised at St Mary's, Taunton, at appropriate dates.
(Ancestry have misread the father's second name nearly every time: Slake, Sharpe, Flake, even Hope.)

Hi, on wsom transcriptions there are these Taunton St Mary baptisms to Robert Slape & Caroline

James 1841
Caroline 1842
Robert Slape 1843
Eleanor 1845
Frederick 1846
Henry 1849

no more records on there after 1850, did you know about Henry?

Family search have birth registrations for a Walter Pyne 1848
Margaret 1852
plus others but with no parents names on any of them cannot be sure who they are.
