Looking for his birth. He married Jane housden (1729-1767) in Dagenham 1750. Children all born there. Couldn't find his death either.

Found jane's birth to Thomas (1695-1729) and Ann (says she was a widow at Jane's birth. Ann died 1730. Can't find their marriage, so can't find Ann's birth.

There is a will in 1755 for an Elizabeth Seabrook, spinster, it mentions Jane Chapman as a cousin. There are also other family members mentioned.

Excellent. That's them. One pound and a shilling must have been a fair bit then!
So maybe Ann was a seabrook or maybe thomas' sister married a seabrook.

There is mention of a Samuel Seabrook, uncle, there is a marriage in Dagenham in 1723 to an Ann Cullingham, which might be him.

Jane housden's parents were William housden and Alice (don't know her surname and don't have their marriage).
If Elizabeth seabrook is jane's cousin, and samuel's niece, then either jane's mother Alice was a seabrook or Elizabeth's mother was Alice's sister? Does that sound right?

Thought you said in top post Jane was daughter of Thomas and Ann, or am I reading it wrong?

Oh yes ... senior moment! Her grandparents were William and Alice!
So jane's mother, Ann, and either of Elizabeth seabrook' parents were siblings. Or Thomas housden's sister married Elizabeth's father.

There is also a cousin Elizabeth Smith in the will...........
