I have, however, one final question that is eating me. Bollettie's first husband, my colourful but decidely dastardly grandfather, Herman George Tankersley Davies, was born in Otago in 1882,
the son of Walter Davies and Annie Elizabeth Dodd.
I have quite a lot about the Dodds, and some information on Walter - but not when he immigrated to NZ from England.
Would it be possible to find this out?
Here’s another link to alisonjar this time post for info. Re DAVIES/DODD
There’s 11 pages you might find something you don’t already have

Walter's burial 1893
What I did notice on the post was the 1881 marriage for Annie Elizabeth Dodd
to Walter DAVIES his
occupation draper father Daniel mother Elizabeth nee Brown
You probably have all this info. but just in case.....
I’ve taken a quick look at the census found Walter DAVIES on 1861 & 1871 census but as yet can’t spot when he came to NZ - will keep looking
