Walthamstow Schools 1900-1910
« on: Sunday 04 December 16 19:21 GMT (UK) »
Hello ,
I wonder if anyone can possibly help with knowledge or  suggestions on what Walthamstow Schools would have been in use  circ 1900-1910 .
If possible i need to get the records for my family at that time but although i have a good timeline of their known addresses and therefore know which streets/areas of Walthamstow they were at , i don't unfortunately  know which schools were operating then ?
If i knew the Schools  i could maybe cross reference them to find which were local to the family abode/s at the time .

Any help or advice much appreciated

Thanks
Eden

Hi ,
Thanks for your suggestion and the BritishHistory link - unfortunately it seems there were more schools in operation in that decade than i thought .
If anyone on the forum is local to the Walthamstow area and knows a bit about the old schools near
(particularly) HELENA RD or BELGRAVE RD or who might  possibly be able  for a lookup at  Vestry House Museum /Archives  i would very much like to hear from you  .

Thanks again

If you are on FB there is a group you can join called Walthamstow Life. Someone on there can probably help. I went to Walthamstow High School for Girls but that was in the 1960s and I have been long gone from the area.
