Hi
Can anyone help me decipher this old London occupation - in red circle - from an apprentice indenture, please.
I would very much appreciate any help you can give me.
Many thanks

It is indeed
Feltmaker
(two small
f
= capital
F
). Southwark/Bermondsey was a big centre for feltmaking at this period.

That's great.
Thanks so much for your quick responses. It was the two lower case 'f's that was throwing me. I thought they indicated an 's'.
Thanks again
Sue
