1861 Census lookup

I was hoping someone could look up the details of four members of the Blackbell family named in the 1861 Census. They all lived in Co.Durham and Northumberland, but as they were seamen, it's possible that they could be anywhere in this census.

- Thomas, married, 26,  b. Tynemouth, who is a cook and steward on board a ship called the Clifton Hall

John, head, 43, seaman, b. Tynemouth
Elizabeth, wife, 40, b. Morpeth
(RG9/3840 Folio 45 p. 15)
- in Monkwearmouth Shore Durham, address Palmer's Hill (?)
George J (T?), Blackbell, lodger, unm, 28, mariner, b. Northumberland 
(RG9/3784 Folio 84 p. 28)

Hi Sue and Tanja,
Thanks for your replies.  John is married to Elizabeth and Thomas is John's nephew. Could the George J or T, be an S as in George SCOTT Blackbell? Our George Scott was born in Tynemouth and is known to have been a seaman, but it seems that he failed maths at school as he was born in 1841 (BVRI2) and is a brother of Thomas, nephew of John.

I hope that this George isn't a surprise that has slipped through the net!!

Well yes, sure, it could be an 'S' too. These capital letters are a nightmare to me.

Age definitely looks like 28.

Thanks Tanja, I'm confident that we have all the Blackbell's and in the right families, although if that 8 was a zero, it would match our records.    Even so, it wouldn't be the first time that someone has "improved" their age to get a job, would it?
