Attaching husbands result to my account
« on: Tuesday 29 November 16 22:05 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I have just bought 2 ancestry kits, one for me and the other for my husband. Is it easy to attach them both to my account. Was looking at another thread which has confused me. Can someone explain the process of activating kits. The instructions appear to suggest everyone needs own account.

Thank you
Paula

Hi Paula, I have just bought two kits for my parents to attach to my account. The process is exactly the same for the second (and subsequent) as the first one. On the DNA page, you just click the 'activate kit' button/link and follow the on screen instructions for entering the kit number and the name you want for the person associated with the kit, before you then get to the final step of linking to a person in a tree (if you want).  You certainly don't need separate accounts for each kit.

Thank you for  clarifying the situation for me Richard.

Hope you find lots of matches for your parents.
