Second child born 1918 in Belfast and died following day-
Birth: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1918/01290/1534548.pdf
Death: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1918/05197/4435893.pdf

Which leaves a gap between 1918-1921.

Added- 59 Camden St., Belfast listed as tenements in 1924 directory.

59, Camden Street, Belfast is where Richard Moore and his wife Susan Cameron lived. This explains why James and Isabella were in Belfast. James was Susans brother.

To add to the mystery of Alan Camerons parents I was wondering if his army records would shed any light on his father and mother? He joined, aged 20yrs old in Derry. I have his army number, would that throw up any clues?

Further to my search for Isabella I found a child William Ross born 20th Nov 1920 to William Ross and Isabella (formerly Cameron). I cannot find a marriage certificate but is it possible that James and Isabella divorced and Isabella remarried?

Certainly cannot find any of the Ross family in Census records.

Her son by marriage Alan was born 17th Aug 1921. Confusing......

Here's the link to birth of William Ross in Nov.1920-
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1920/01200/1499485.pdf

From then until Aug.1921 is about 9 months which seems to be a very short time for another child.

James and Isabella had 2 other children. Jessie Cameron born 0ct 1st 1916 in Cork, and an unnamed daughter born March 4th 1918 in Belfast. You can see them in the Civil Registrations records on irishgenealogy.ie

Sadly the child was premature and only lived one day-
