south australian deaths
« on: Saturday 26 November 16 23:29 GMT (UK) »
I hve found a death of a Robert Jude in Adelaide o 13.5.1987. Is it possible to check for a DOB on this death entry without having to buy the certificate, as this would tell me if I had fund the right entry. Can anyone help?

This has the birth year as 1909 - not sure of its accuracy, but it may be a start

There was a newspaper death notice for your man, but the information does not come free.

Sometimes a kindly fellow chatter can help out.

As the finding from M above tells, he was late of the suburb of Frewville and the location of his remains is Tranquility Wall 74. Niche C009. 30 Sept. 1987.

A SA death certificate will not name parents or DOB but may have his birthplace if known by the informant.
This website has info on certificates.

There was a birth in VIC in 1908 (reg #20084) that may be a 'match'?

There are very few JUDE surnames recorded in SA and mostly they appear to be connected to a John JUDE who emigrated as a child to Melbourne, and who moved to SA by 1880.

Thank you all for your help, I think maybe this is not my Robert Jude if he is related to the said John Jude, the Robert I am looking for would have migrated from England in the 1920s and 1930s. The search goes on Thank you all, Lydia
