Thanks Martyn.  It was a shot in the dark.  I don't have the original as the photocopy was given to me years ago and I don't have any clue where or if there is an original in existence.  Thanks to all that attempted.  Your help and suggestions are much appreciated.

Well i did attempt a quick redraw - as you can see even this draft - it doesnt work very well from a photocopy...How do we know if the features are accurate ? The hair i guess is bald, but not sure.


The problem with the image is the lack of texture, so in all attempts a restorer has no choice but to use a method of smudge the black and white...even with adding a skin texture over, you have to smudge it like you would a chalk drawing. So no texture to the image. Makes it tough...anyway..thats another story.

This is what i mean by someone redraw - im not a drawing specialist even with a laptop - if you find a good pencil artist they can make this draft of mine + your original photo into a more accurate likeness of the two figures

Yes I see what you mean.  I'll fish around to see if some of my older relatives might have the original.
