Can see by your previous 'Posts' 30 January 06

'My name is Tony Drew and my wife was a "Knee" before our marriage.
She is a direct descendant of Daniel KNEE of Stroud, a Widower who married Elizabeth WICKS on 2 February 1805 etc. etc.

Daniel was convicted at Gloucester Assizes in 1826 and transported to Australia for life etc. etc.

The Daniel Knee transported aboard the "Speke" July 1826 was 15 years old - according to newspaper reports of the trial. His original sentence was "Death recorded" (indicates spared execution).

There is a baptism for Daniel Knee, place Stroud, parents Daniel and Elizabeth Wicks, bap 27 May 1810
