I suspect the 1st marriage (1903) was Michael Blake marrying without permission which meant they went through another ceremony a few years later.

Jennie is a nickname for Jane so perhaps the family called her Jennie.

It wasn't uncommon for people to move from one rented accommodation to another quite frequently.

Thats incredible, I can remember my Granny more than my grandfather she was a great person. I dont know if you can help me with the next question or how I would find out about it. After 1922 my grandad could not return to his family home in Kilbaha, so they went to England to live for how long I do not know before returning to Belfast. My mother told me that a brother of my grandfather who I can find no record of was a priest in America. Father Joseph Blake apparently he had arranged for the family to move to the USA to start a new life there. Unfortunately they got a letter from the Parish priest of the parish out there to say Father Joseph Blake had died and that any arrangements he had made for them could not be continued with. His photo hung up in my grandfathers home in Broadway and he appeared to be very young. I have done the usual google searches and other websites but cannot find a Father Joseph Blake. Can you advise me where I should be looking for him.?? I am printing out all the information you sent me and really I cannot thank you enough especially finding out that my Grandfather and Jane married twice!! Thank you Gerry

Do you have any more information on Michael Blake's parents as I've found a few leads but worried about following wrong family. His mother's name would be a huge help but I realise you might not have that.

I am nearly sure it was Bridget Cahill and his father,s name was Martin. These were the names I heard from my mother. Gerry
