If he died intestate without leaving a Will and the property was of the value to be dealt with by the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, you won't find a reference for the Administration online because they have not been digitised and only a few have been indexed in published volumes, but the latter are for a period in the 17th century from memory. As KG has indicated, the records are held at the National Archives and for PCC Administrations you would need to have a search done of the records there.
