2 Marriage dates for Sadie O'Donnell & George Howard Williams, New York

 On Family search i have found 2 marriages for the same couple.

George Howard Williams married Sadie O'Donnell on 10 Oct 1916 in Manhattan.
There is another marriage for same couple on 5 Aug 1917 in Bronx NY.
George's parents were John and Phoebe Ketcham
Sadie (Sarah) parents were Denis and Rose Doherty.

Sarah was born Donegal, Ireland 1889.
I cannot find them in any of the Census.

 I have been searching for my father in laws sister Sarah for some time and have hit a brick wall.

Was one a civil marriage and the other in church??

There is a family tree on Ancestry that mentions George b1891 had a  sister Bertha who married a George Rhance Mullen b Belfast, Ireland. I have contacted the owner but they haven't replied.
