The history of the Irish quakers is very interesting but most travelled to the New World to Pennsylvania where William Penn created a safe haven for their religious observance. The McCools, Blackburns, Holmes, Millars and Lightfoots went to Menallen, Chester. I would be happy just to find the parentage of Arthur Blackburn who was living in Stroove, Moville 1740, it must be connected to the Blackburns, possibly Archibald Blackburn who married Rosanna Steele of Raphoe (daughter of Nathaniel) or Archibald Blackburn who married Margaret Wilson. Hugh Blackburn was either his Brother or cousin and married either Susan Crawford or Margaret's sister, Susan Wilson. There was a business out of Glasgow 'Hugh Blackburn & Co' exporters to the British Colony of Virginia who may have had business interests in Moville.
