Rifle cartridge in the Fire. Explodes and injures Stirling woman.
''On Wednesday afternoon, while Helen Nash or Hughes, wife of Bernard Hughes, miner, 13 Seaforth Place, Stirling, was cleaning the top of the kitchen grate, she swept a blank rifle cartridge, with which her boy had been playing, into the fire. The cartridge exploded, and the shell struck Mrs Hughes on the left hand and arm, inflicting ragged wounds on the fingers and wrist. Dr Laidlaw dressed the injuries.''
